Dale Ray Phillips' stories have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, GQ, Story, and several literary magazines. He has work forthcoming in Esquire, and his stories have also been anthologized in Best American Short Stories and New Stories from the South. He teaches at Clemson University, where he is completing a book of stories entitled What It Cost Travelers.
