David James Poissant is the author of Lizard Man, winner of the 2011 RopeWalk Fiction Chapbook Prize. Other stories appear or will soon appear in The Atlantic, Playboy, One Story, Glimmer Train, The Southern Review, New Stories from the South, and Best New American Voices. He lives in Orlando with his wife and daughters and teaches in the MFA Program at the University of Central Florida. His first story collection will be published by Simon & Schuster in 2014 to be followed by a novel in 2015.
