George Bilgere’s most recent book of poems is Imperial, from the University of Pittsburgh Press (2014). He has won the Cleveland Arts Prize, a Pushcart Prize, the Midland Authors Award, a Witter Bynner Fellowship and the May Swenson Poetry Award. His poems are often featured on Garrison Keillor’s The Writer’s Almanac, and he has appeared as a guest on A Prairie Home Companion. Bilgere teaches at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.
