Glyn Maxwell’s Drinks with Dead Poets will be published in the UK by Oberon in September 2016. It is an expansion of his critical guidebook On Poetry, which was published by Harvard University Press in 2012. His poetry collections include Pluto (Picador, 2013), The Nerve (Mariner Books, 2004), The Sugar Mile (Mariner Books, 2006), and One Thousand Nights and Counting (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2012). He was Poetry Editor of The New Republic from 2000 to 2007, has had several plays staged in the UK and US, and has written fiction, libretti, and travelogue.
