Khairani Barokka is a Minang-Javanese writer and artist in London, UK, whose work is presented widely internationally. Okka was a UNFPA Indonesian Young Leader Driving Social Change, a New York University Tisch Departmental Fellow, and Modern Poetry in Translation’s inaugural poet-in-residence, among other honors. Currently a UK associate artist at Delfina Foundation and research fellow at University of the Arts London, her books include Rope (Nine Arches Prerss, 2017), Indigenous Species (Tilted Axis Press, 2016), and her most recent book, Ultimatum Orangutan (Nine Arches Press, 2021).
