Kyoko Mori is a professor of writing at Harvard University. She moved to the United States from Kobe, Japan as a teenager and is the author of two memoirs and two books for children. Her book, "Shizuko's Daughter," was chosen by The New York Times as the Best Young Children's Book in 1993.
