Lee Ann Mortensen recently won a fiction fellowship from the Poets & Writers exchange program. She teaches writing and literature at Utah Valley State College. Her writing has appeared in Mississippi Review, Quarterly West, Inscape, and The Student Review. "Not Quite Peru" is the first chapter to be published from her nearly completed novel, Strip.
