Mengyin Lin is a Chinese writer living in the US. Born and raised in Beijing, she writes in English as her second language. She holds an MFA in Fiction from Brooklyn College and a BFA in Film from New York University. Her work can be read in the New York Times, Guernica, swamp pink, Joyland, Best Debut Short Stories 2023 (Catapult, 2023), and more. She is the winner of the 2023 swamp pink Fiction Prize and the 2023 PEN/Robert J. Dau Prize for Emerging Writers.
