SAM CORNISH's books include Songs of Jubilee, Generations, 1935: A Memoir, and Folks Like Me, a new collection of poems that has just been released by Zoland Books. He was born in Baltimore, Md., and now lives in Brighton, Mass. The former Literature Director for the Massachusetts Council on the Arts and Humanities, Cornish teaches literature and minority studies at Emerson College.
