Crystal Williams is the author of Troubled Tongues (Lotus Press), Lunatic, and Kin (both from Michigan State University Press). She holds degrees from NYU and Cornell, and teaches at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. "Harbinger" is from her in-progress fourth manuscript titled Walking the Cemetery: Detroit Poems.
