Benjamin Hoffmann
Benjamin Hoffmann is a Franco-American writer. He received his PhD from Yale and is a Professor of French Literature at Ohio State University. He’s the author of eight books published in France and the US, including Posthumous America(Penn State University Press, 2019), The Paradoxes of Posterity (Penn State University Press, 2020), and Sentinel Island: A Novel (Liverpool University Press, 2024). His work has been supported by the National Book Center (France), the Beinecke Library at Yale, and the Whiting Foundation.
