Daniel B. Summerhill
Daniel B. Summerhill is author of Divine, Divine, Divine (Black Lawrence Press, 2021), and Mausoleum of Flowers (CavanKerry, 2022). His work appears in Columbia Journal, the Indiana Review, Obsidian, Callaloo, Academy of American Poets, the Wall Street Journal, and elsewhere. He’s earned fellowships from Baldwin for the Arts, Esperimento sul Respiro, and The Watering Hole. An Oakland, CA native, Summerhill is Professor of Poetry at Santa Clara University and is the Inaugural Poet Laureate of Monterey County. Daniel believes in the liberation of oppressed peoples everywhere, especially through the dissolution of empire.
