Frank Soos

Frank Soos (1950–2021) was the Alaska State Writer Laureate, 2014–2016. He was author of Early Yet (St. Andrews College Press, 1998); Unified Field Theory (winner of the Flannery O’Connor Award; University of Georgia Press, 2010); Bamboo Fly Rod Suite (University of Georgia Press, 1999); Double Moon: Constructions & Conversations, with artist Margo Klass (Boreal Books, 2009); Unpleasantries: Considerations of Difficult Questions (University of Washington Press, 2016). His books Wheels on Ice, coedited with Jessica Cherry (University of Nebraska Press, 2022), and The Getting Place (Boreal Books, 2021) were published posthumously.
