Judy Grahn
Judy Grahn is internationally known as a poet, writer, and social theorist. Her poem, “Earth speaks to the waters,” is from her latest work, Queen of Cups, an epic ecopoetic drama that will become her eighteenth book. Her earlier work helped fuel social justice and literary movements: feminist, LGBTQ, Gay Women’s Liberation, Women’s Spirituality, New Narrative, and more. A retired professor and former grassroots activist, Judy continues to teach such subjects as her own interpretations of ancient Sumerian literature, the wisdom for today of Mary Magdalene’s Gospel, the depth of women’s traditional rituals, and uses of art to express and explore social change.
