Yahya Ashour

Yahya Ashour يحيى عاشور is a Gazan author. He’s a visiting assistant professor at Pitzer College. He’s a 2022 honorary fellow in writing at the University of Iowa, a 2025 Author in Residence at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a 2026 recipient of the Dean’s Distinguished Fellowship at University of California, Riverside. His portfolio includes an e-book and three children’s books. His children’s book Why Ryan Walks This Way (2021) won the 2022 Arab Children’s Book Publishers Forum Award.
