Alberto Ríos’s most recent work is Every Sound is Not a Wolf (Copper Canyon, 2025), preceded by Go Away Is My Name (Copper Canyon, 2020)—poems—and A Good Map of All Things (University of Arizona Press, 2020)—a novel. Recipient of the PEN/Beyond Margins Award, Western Literature Association Distinguished Achievement Award, a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award, and a finalist for the National Book Award, Ríos teaches at Arizona State University, where he is director of the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing.
