Annell López

Annell López is the winner of the 2023 Louise Meriwether First Book Prize and the author of I’ll Give You a Reason (Feminist Press, 2024). A finalist for the 2025 PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Short Story Collection, I’ll Give You a Reason was named a Best Short Story Collection of 2024 by Electric Literature. It was longlisted for the Maya Angelou Book Award and the Reforma National Book Award and shortlisted for the Clark Fiction Prize. (Updated 7/2026)
