Brenda Miller

Brenda Miller’s most recent book is A Braided Heart: Essays on Writing and Form (University of Michigan Press, 2022). She is the author of five more essay collections, including An Earlier Life (Ovenbird, 2016), which received the Washington State Book Award for Memoir. She is the recipient of seven Pushcart Prizes. She also received the Floating Bridge Press Poetry Chapbook award for her poetry collection The Daughters of Elderly Women (Floating Bridge Press, 2021), and cowrote the textbook Tell it Slant: Creating, Refining, and Publishing Creative Nonfiction (McGraw Hill Higher Education, 2005).
