Carol Roh-Spaulding
Carol Roh-Spaulding’s fiction and poetry have appeared in numerous respected journals and anthologies. She is the author of the chapbook The Brides of Valencia (White Eagle Coffee Store Press) which won the A. E. Longman Prize for Long Fiction in 2000, and is completing Navelencia, a thematic collection of stories based on her mixed-race Asian American background. Her fiction has won several awards, including the Heathcote Award from the National Society of Arts and Letters, a Cohen Award for best story of the year in Ploughshares, and a Pushcart Prize. She is an Asst. Professor of English at Drake University, and lives with her husband and son in Des Moines, Iowa.
