Dannye Romine Powell
Dannye Romine Powell‘s fifth collection, In the Sunroom with Raymond Carver, will be out from Press 53 in May 2020. She’s won fellowships in poetry from the NEA, the North Carolina Arts Council and Yaddo, where she lived one winter in Sylvia Plath’s bedroom. Her poems over the years have appeared in Field, Poetry, the Paris Review, Georgia Review, Southern Review, Beloit, and other places. She is also the author of Parting the Curtains: Interviews with Southern Writers (Anchor, 1995).
