Frederick Tibbetts

FREDERICK TIBBETTS was born at West Point, N.Y. in 1960, the son of an Army officer. From ages eight to twelve, his family was stationed in West Germany, where he discovered the folk tales that lie behind the poems in this issue, which are also included in his booklength manuscript, Houses Like Ours. Since 1981 he has lived in Princeton, N.J. He has an M.A. in Romance languages from Princeton University and has nearly completed his Ph.D. dissertation on Rimbaud. His poems have appeared in The Paris Review, The Yale Review, and Raritan.
