Gábor T. Szántó 

Gábor T. Szántó is a Hungarian novelist, essayist, screenwriter and the editor-in-chief of the Hungarian-Jewish monthly Szombat; he also researches and teaches modern Jewish literature. He has published novels, the most recent, Európa szimfónia (Scolar, 2019), a biography A jazzprofesszor (Gondolat, 2024), collections of short stories, and a book of poetry. His works have been translated into many languages, including the book 1945 and Other Stories (CEEOL, 2024); its title story was the basis for the celebrated film 1945.
