James Scofield

James Scofield has been a poet for over thirty years. He has been published throug- out the United States, and in England, France, Candada, and India. His poem, "April," was included in a recent anthology issued by Time-Warner titled "Yellow-Silk II" joining such writers as James Dickey and Molly Bloom, A death-camp poem "Birkenau" was a recent winner of the 14th Annual Anna Davidson Rosenberg Award for poems on the jewish experience,and latter a winner in the National League of PEN Writers Award – 2000 – both international competitions. "Birkenau" is now on permanent display at the Holocaust Memorial at Auschwitz. His first book of poems, 30 Poems, was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 1999. He is completing a second book of poems and a collection of essays entitled, God In The Land Of Wheaties.
