Jayne Anne Phillips
Jayne Anne Phillips is the author of three novels, MotherKind, Shelter, and Machine Dreams, and two books of stories, Black Tickets and Fast Lanes. She is the recipient of Guggenheim, NEA, and Bunting fellowships, and was awarded the Sue Kaufman Prize and an Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Her work has appeared most recently in Harper’s, Granta, Doubletake, and the Norton Anthology of Contemporary Fiction. She is presently Writer in Residence at Brandeis University.
