John Skoyles

John Skoyles has published seven books of poems and five of prose. He has served as the executive director of the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and taught at Southern Methodist University, Sarah Lawrence College, Warren Wilson College (where he directed the MFA program), and Emerson College. His awards include two grants from the National Endowment for the Arts as well as fellowships from the New York and North Carolina Arts Councils. He is the poetry editor of Ploughshares and a member of the Writing Committee of the Fine Arts Work Center.
