Joshua Ferris

Joshua Ferris was born in 1974 in Danville, Illinois. His first novel, Then We Came to the End (Little, Brown and Company), was published in 2007 to wide acclaim. Translated into over thirty languages, it won the PEN/Hemingway Award and the Barnes & Noble Discover Award, and was shortlisted for the National Book Award. His second novel, The Unnamed (Reagan Arthur Books), was published in 2010. In 2014, his third novel, To Rise Again at a Decent Hour (Little, Brown and Company), was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize and won the biannual International Dylan Thomas Prize. Ferris was named by The New Yorker one of the best “20 Under 40” writers in 2010. He lives in Hudson, NY, with his wife and son.
