Khaddafina Mbabazi

Khaddafina Mbabazi is a writer and musician from Kampala, Uganda. A winner of the PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers, her work has appeared in VQR, the Johannesburg Review of Books, Best Debut Short Stories 2021, and elsewhere. She holds an MFA in Fiction from the University of Virginia, where she was a Henry Hoyns Fellow. In June 2023, she was a fellow at the Oxbelly Writers Retreat in Messinia, Greece. She is currently completing a collection of short fiction.
