Lory Bedikian

Lory Bedikian’s second book, Jagadakeer: Apology to the Body (University of Nebraska Press, 2024), won the 2023 Prairie Schooner Raz-Shumaker Book Prize in Poetry. Her first collection, The Book of Lamenting (Anhinga, 2011), won the Philip Levine Prize in Poetry. Several of Bedikian’s poems received first prize in the Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry as part of the 2022 Nimrod Literary Awards. She twice received grants from Money for Women. Bedikian teaches poetry workshops in Los Angeles, CA, and elsewhere.
