Matthew Sumpter
Matthew Sumpter is the author of the poetry collection Public Land (University of Tampa Press, 2018), which won the Anita Claire Scharf Prize. Individual poems have appeared in the New Yorker, New Republic, AGNI, Poetry Daily, Best New Poets, and elsewhere. His short fiction has appeared in Glimmer Train and Best Microfiction 2020, and his critical prose has appeared in College English. A lecturer in the English Department at Tulane University, he lives with his family in south Louisiana.
