Matthew Thorburn

Matthew Thorburn’s most recent book of poems is String (LSU Press, 2023), a novel in poems. He’s also the author of five previous books, including The Grace of Distance: Poems (LSU Press, 2019), a finalist for the Paterson Poetry Prize, and Dear Almost: A Poem (LSU Press, 2016), which won the Lascaux Prize. He received a 2025 Finalist Award from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
