Michael Daley
Michael Daley published Way Out There:Lyrical Essays in January, 2007 (Aequitas, New York). His poetry chapbooks include: Rosehip Plum Cherry (Wood Works,Seattle), Original Sin (Pleasure Boat Studio), The Corn Maiden (Tangram, Berkeley), Horace: Eleven Odes, translated from Latin (Brooding Heron, Waldron Is.). His first book, The Staits, was published in 1983 (Empty Bow, Port Townsend). He edited the anthology In Our Hearts & Minds (Empty Bowl, 1985). His second collection of poetry, To Curve, is forthcoming from Word Press (Cleveland, 2009). A high school teacher, he has received awards from the Seattle Arts Commission, Bumbershoot, Fessenden, National Endowment of the Humanities, and Fulbright.
