Mona Susan Power
Mona Susan Power is an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, and a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Law School, and the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop. She’s the author of four books, including The Grass Dancer, awarded the PEN/Hemingway prize (G. P. Putnam’s Sons, 1994), and Sacred Wilderness (Michigan State University Press, 2014). Her fellowships include an Iowa Arts Fellowship (Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs), James A. Michener Fellowship (University of Texas at Austin), Bunting Institute Fellowship (Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study), Hodder Fellowship (Princeton University), United States Artists Fellowship, McKnight Artist Fellowship, and National Artist Fellowship (Native Arts and Cultures).
