Patrick Donnelly
Patrick Donnelly is author of The Charge (Ausable, 2003, since 2009 part of Copper Canyon Press), and Nocturnes of the Brothel of Ruin, forthcoming from Four Way Books. He has taught writing at Colby College, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Frost Place, and elsewhere. He is a 2008 recipient of an Artist Fellowship from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. His poems have appeared in many journals, including American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, The Yale Review, The Virginia Quarterly Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, The Massachusetts Review, and Slate. With Stephen D. Miller he translates classical Japanese poetry and drama. Donnelly and Miller’s translations have appeared in Cha: An Asian Literary Journal, Circumference, thedrunkenboat.com, eXchanges, Metamorphoses, New Plains Review, Noon: The Journal of the Short Poem, Poetry International, and Translations and Transformations: the Heike Monogatari in Nô.
