Richard Panek
Richard Panek‘s short fiction has won a PEN Award and been broadcast on National Public Radio. He is the author of two nonfiction books: a cultural history of the telescope, to be published in 1998, and Waterloo Diamonds, a social history of an Iowa factory town and its minor league baseball club. He often writes for The New York Times and is a contributing writer at Elle and Mirabella. He lives in New York City.
