Ruth Hoberman

Ruth Hoberman, a professor emerita of English at Eastern Illinois University, has published widely on late-nineteenth- and twentieth-century British literature. Her most recent book, Museum Trouble: Edwardian Literature and the Emergence of Modernism, was published in 2011 (University of Virginia Press). Since retiring in 2015, she has turned to writing personal essays and poetry, with work appearing in such journals as Michigan Quarterly Review, Consequence, Smartish Pace, Rhino, Calyx, and Spoon River Poetry Review.
