Sarah Tindal Kareem

Sarah Tindal Kareem is Associate Professor of English at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she researches and teaches eighteenth-century literature. Her first book is Eighteenth-Century Fiction and the Reinvention of Wonder (Oxford University Press, 2014). She is currently completing her second book, which explores the troubled attachments that works of literature both represent and elicit. With Brad Pasanek, she is editing a new edition of Henry Fielding’s Tom Jones for Oxford World’s Classics. She lives in Santa Monica, CA, with her two impossibly grown-up children. (Updated 7/2026)
