Simone Muench

Simone Muench is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship and the author of seven full-length books, including Lampblack & Ash (Sarabande Books, 2005), winner of the 2004 Kathryn A. Morton Prize, Wolf Centos (Sarabande, 2014), and The Under Hum (Black Lawrence Press, 2024), cowritten with Jackie K. White. She’s a faculty advisor for Jet Fuel Review, a poetry editor for Tupelo Quarterly, and poetry editor for JackLeg Press. Poems are forthcoming in Kenyon Review, Bennington Review, New Letters, and elsewhere. (Updated 04/2026)
