Goose Egg
Issue #167
Spring 2026
We put all
our eggs in one
basket case—a guy
who is one egg short of
an omelet. Everyone around
him walks on eggshells and no one
dares say he has egg on his face. You’ve
got to break a few eggheads to make an omelet,
he blurts. His cabinet eggs him on, reminding
him of talking points—life starts as soon as sperm
hits an egg. He’s not sure anyone should freeze her
eggs. He loves scrambled eggs (gold embroidery)
and the devil in deviled eggs. He’s a tough egg
to crack. He couldn’t care less about your
nest egg. In fact, he’s the goose doing
the goose step, the goose who laid
the rotten egg. What came first?
Fascism or the egg?
