Dan Bellm is a poet and translator living in San Francisco. His third book of poetry, Practice (Sixteen Rivers, 2008), won a California Book Award and was named one of the year’s top ten poetry books by The Virginia Quarterly Review. He teaches literary translation online for New York University.

John Biguenet, an editor of the New Orleans Review, teaches at Loyola University. He has recently published poetry, translations, and criticism in The Georgia Review, North American Review, Poetry NOW, and Translation Review.

Lee Harlin Bahan teaches creative writing at Indiana University. Poems and translations of poetry have appeared or are forthcoming in The Laurel Review, The Reaper, The Cape Rock, Blue Unicorn, Crab Creek Review, and Painted Bride Quarterly, among others. Her first chapbook, Migration Solo, was published in early 1989 by The Writers’ Center Press of Indianapolis.  

John Balaban is the author of thirteen books of poetry, prose, and translation, which have won the Academy of American Poets’ Lamont Poetry Selection, a National Poetry Series selection, and the William Carlos Williams Award from the Poetry Society of America. He has twice been a finalist for the National Book Award.

Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen is the author of over ten volumes of poetry as well as translations, short stories, children’s books, and a study of Greek sculpture. These poems are selected from her collection, entitled Coral. She is the recipient of the Grande Premio da Literature Portuguesa.

Ralph Angel’s Neither World received the James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets. His third and most recent collection, Twice Removed, is available from Sarabande Books. A fourth collection, Exceptions and Melancholies, as well as his translation of Federico García Lorca’s Poema del Cante Jondo, are forthcoming from Sarabande in 2006.
